About Our Family

In 1954, Dr. Azmi Mikhail married Insaf Armanious. Their life together brought 5 sons, 4 daughter in-laws, 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, affectionately referred to as “The Garden” by Insaf. The Mikhail's call two countries home, America and Egypt, after Dr. Azmi Mikhail received scholarship to attend American universities for doctoral work. The love and dedication to education, inspired by Dr. Azmi Mikhail, are foundational to the Mikhail family, spurring on doctors, lawyers, scientists, entrepreneurs and professors. The importance of family and community was exemplified by Insaf. In honor of Dr. Azmi and Insaf Mikhail, The Mikhail Family Foundation looks to holistically grow communities in both countries, focusing on the family’s home villages, through local partnerships and financial support.
